The Independent Craft Brewers Roundtable Conference (I.C.B.R.) is organized under the auspices of the Association of Small Independent Brewers of Greece. I.C.B.R. is held annually at Macedonian Thrace Brewery’s state-of-the-art facilities in Komotini and attracts many brewers and industry professionals from Greece and abroad.
Participants from Greece, Cyprus, Albania, Turkey, Romania, Serbia, and Bulgaria, as well as internationally renowned speakers representing institutes and tech solution providers from Germany and other Central European countries, have typically been in attendance since 2017 (with the exception of 2020 and 2021, due to Covid-19).
The objective of the Conference is twofold: 1) to discuss and learn about the market trends and developments, as well as the threats, that affect craft brewers and 2) to provide scientific and hands-on technical training on how to brew better craft beers.
For three days the participants have a rare opportunity to meet with industry professionals, to exchange essential views with their counterparts and representatives of major suppliers, and of course to make new friends and sample their very best beers.
The main purpose of the I.C.B.R. is to support and defend the interests of independent brewers, but above all the transmission of knowledge and ideas to improve quality and create new products.
We are all looking forward for the I.C.B.R. 2022, after two years of postponements due to Covid-19, which is scheduled for the first half of 2022.
